About Me

Haoliang was born in Qingdao, China. He received his B.S. in Biomedical Science, Chemistry from The University of Queensland in Australia (2019), and M.S. in Chemistry from University of Washington, Seattle in 2022. During his master's degree research, he worked in Dr. Dustin Maly's group on developing new chemical tools to quantitative understanding of cellular signaling.

Haoliang joined Professor Newberry’s lab in 2022 to study how a protein's chemistry determines its functional structure.
