About Me
Diana is from Kerala, India and holds a BS-MS dual degree in Chemistry (with a minor in Biology) from the Indian Institute of Science Education and Research Thiruvananthapuram (IISER TVM). During her studies at IISER TVM, she worked in Prof. Mahesh Hariharan’s lab on the synthesis and photophysical studies of eumelanin multimers to explore its structure-property relationship. She also completed an internship with Prof. Frank Würthner on the synthesis of N-annulated perylene bisimide dimers at the University of Würzburg, Germany. She is currently pursuing Ph.D. in Chemistry at UT Austin and has joined the Newberry Lab in 2024 to study protein misfolding in neurodegenerative diseases. Outside of research, Diana enjoys drawing, reading, cooking and engaging in craftwork.
